TNA Impact Wrestling video game

TNA is less than half the size of WWE.
TNA has less than half the fanbase WWE has.
TNA wrestlers (at least many of them) make only half the money a WWE Superstar makes.
TNA makes less than half the profits WWE makes in a year.
TNA draws low ratings that are just enough to satisfy Spike TV.
TNA can barely afford to leave the Impact Zone, and are already taking a big risk in doing it now.

Do you really think TNA can afford to make a video game at the level of WWE? Like everything else in comparison to WWE, they can't compete.

Do you really think that TNA would have to pay to make a TNA game? That's not how the business works. Activision would put up the money for the game and pay TNA for licencing rights to the name, logos, wrestlers likenesses etc. Activision is actually Activision Blizzard a company with total assets of more than $13 billion so not only could they afford to make TNA game they could afford to give everyone who bought the game a free replica TNA belt!

On topic: I said on a games forum recently that I think the only way we'll ever see the WWE games improve is if they have competition. An Activision backed TNA game may not have the star power of WWE but if the get the gameplay right the could well have a sleeper hit on their hands. As a gamer I hope it happens so WWE games have competition and as a TNA fan I hope it happens so they can reach a wider audience.

made me spit up my soda lol you know this is true w activision. How many guita heroes were there? they're still at it w cal of duty lol. One of the big let downs from midway was their motion tech pretty much sicked and couldnt even get half of the moves in the game. Hopefully they can get the ultimate x match right in this game. Also really hope they put in cage matches this time around. lethal lockdown would be coo but too much of a cluster fuck for a video game i'd imagine. really pulling for monster's ball

THQ did it for how long?! They've been making the exact same game since 2006. Although activision has been making the same game with Call Of Duty, I doubt they'd take those chances with an Impact title since it has a smaller fan base. They know they have to make something that is going to appeal to all wrestling fans. Knowing who they're competing against is basically what's going to push them to add things that we've been asking for from THQ, and allow them to "steal" some fan base.

I would accept anyone but activision. Why not konami or EA? I have been on a activision boycott since july of 08. This is horribe news

How about stop being so silly? Activision might be an evil corporation but so are EA and to a lesser extent so are konami. Love or loathe Kotick and crew, they know how to make shit sell. Why would Activision publishing (because they certainly won't be developing it) put you off the game anyway? And what's this silly boycott about? I'm assuming you're a butthurt CoD-douche?

Kind of hard to call someone a call of duty douche if they havent touched the franchise in 4 years. almost 5. My last COD was modern warfare for the ds.
