    "Digimon" wasn't one of the "Big 3" in America. THE Anime when it became popularized here in the 90's were:

    Dragon Ball Z
    Sailor Moon
    Pokemon

    Anything after that were leeches in the eyes of "new" Anime watchers. I was watching before that but, "Digimon" was possibly in the top 10 at best...

    Eh....Pokemon was popular with the game aka our nostalgia.

    For story and all that good stuff, Digimon is easily top 3.

    Pokemon repeated so many times.

    The pokemon anime was made to promote the games and since they saw the potential market they didn't had to put too much effort, the manga is great though

    I agree, in the anime Digimon beats Pokemon but as franchise Pokemon wins easily
