What is it nessecary to increase the ratings of tna?

I want some people to shed some light on this because i have yet to understand how this process goes..
lately i've been liking tna more and more..and the fact that they pulled of one of their best ppv's ever lockdown last week..i honestly gotta say i was hoping for some rating boosts after the final outcome of the ppv.
But this goes beyond lockdown this is about tna itself..as u know for years they have been pulling out the same ratings
0.9 1.0 1.1 and ocassional 1.2 but that's even more rare...i mean..can u guys classify to me the biggest causes on why tna cant pull bigger ratings than this???
ever since hogan return to tna in 2008 i thought that THAT was it right there, now tna could compete with wwe..but 5 years later....and shit is still the same..so what's preventing tna from climbing up the ranks?
lack of interest in wrestling nowadays?
ufc and mma taking over both wwe and tna by overshadowing them?
the fact that tna has kept an image of old guys from wcw for too long and now has tainted it forever for some wwe fans?
or is it because tna is on spike TV instead of usa network?
lemme know what u guys think that is the cause on tna's lack of sucess in improving the ratings.
Can tna ever compete with wwe toe to toe on the ratings even if it takes years from now?
How can it do if possible?
please let me know seriously, this is probably one of my biggest questions regarding tna right now.

This, I when people think wrestling they think WWE. I knew about WWE years before I actually got into watching wrestling. Then I saw a commercial talking about Booker T on TNA, but back then I thought he was in WWE so I got hooked into TNA after watching Impact in the background while doing other things.

TNA just need more awareness, and going on the road can do that.

Wrestling entertainment overall needs pull out all the punches and get down right nasty these days cause thats what the masses craze. with all the reality t.v out there thats over the top and sometimes way overboard, wrestling entertainment, TNA, WWE, etc....are way too melow and cheesy for today's society. Hell my little nephews the other day said to me they are supper excited for a couple UFC events that are comming up and i asked them what about wrestlmania? reply, Wrestling is lame and sucky.......lol yeah i had a good laugh at that considering they are only 7 and 8 yrs old.

TNA needs to do these five things:

1.) More title changes on live TV to make fans not want to miss a single Impact! episode for fear they might miss something big.

2.) Continue with strong storylines like Aces and Eights, Storm vs Styles, and Matt Morgan vs TNA.

3.) Continue pushing young guys who can cut good to great promos; Austin Aries, Robert Roode, Eric Young, Samoa Joe, Magnus, James Storm, Kazarian, Matt Morgan, Kenny King, Joseph Park, and DOC. These guys will serve as your back bone until you get some new talent and continually replace guys as they grow older.

4.) Move to a better channel. I first found TNA Impact!, while channel surfing on it's inaugural night on Spike! TV. Move to TBS or some other prime time channel where someone flipping through channels can stay tuned and maybe get hooked.

5.) Keep emphasis on the other divisions as well and keep them just as strong as your main event talents. Keep creating awesome tag teams like MCMG, Bad Influence, Beer Money Inc., L.A.X., and America's Most Wanted just to name a few. Honestly with some of the guys they aren't using they could really improve the tag team division like Joe and Magnus now that the World title picture is going to be full with Angle, Sting, Matt Morgan and Jeff Hardy. Let guys like Rob Terry, Eric Young, or Joseph Park loose in the TV Division to see what they can do. Let more X-Division guys shine like Kenny King, Zema Ion, Joey Ryan, Christian York, and Jesse Sorrensen. Maybe bring up guys like Crimson and Gunner to the tag team division as to ease them into the roster in a division that is relatively barren right now. Bad Influence, Roode and Aries, and Chavo and Hernandez are the only teams.

Im in Australia, we get wrestling on pay tv only, wwe are on a base package channel, tna was, but now is not, I missed about 8 months, just reading this site for general info bully was heel. been watching again for maybe 2 months, bully is face, as soon as i had seen 2 weeks worth i guessed that bully ray was leader of A8s, they did throw me last week when they had D'lo as I thought that masked guy was the pres of the club. I mean come on bully said he was willing to do anything to gain the WHT! and devon was within A8s. So I thought while very well pulled off, this great turn was telegrafted.

TNA should run like a Indi promotion, accept they are not and will take a generation to compete with wwe! Get the attitude that screw wwe, do what you want, these guys should be allowing the best indi guys to showcase themselves on TNA as stars of the indi scene this cuts out the possibale rise of RoH on tv. This is what made me like TNA, guys that were just so good in ring that you cannot fast forward.If TNA worked out a way that they could have any indi guy in their ring, they will quickly work out who is worth locked in contracts, and then a story is developed around the guys that the Impact zone responded to. WWe works slower than this. wwe will start missing out or giving contracts to guys that just cannot get themselves over, they can get ex NFL guys all they want they will soon realise in ring & mic work/ charicter work is what fans fall for.
