AJ's Dark Side

Hey guys. I just saw last week's Impact Wrestling and wanted to know where you think TNA is going with AJ Styles. I don't see a heel turn, but rather a darker side. It reminded me of when Sting changed in WCW from the blonde colorful Sting to the Dark, Baseball bat carrying, beating up people no matter who they were, ICON. I see it going in that direction and it might be a good direction for AJ. We can see his serious, badass side. Thoughts?

He might not need the mouthpiece he plays the darker role of not talking. He might go the "actions speak louder than words" route. The image change is coming with the longer hair and beard.

Sadly, I agreed with this. I like a more viscous side being exposed, but the current look seems as if they are going in the biker direction with him; which we can all agree would be a bad idea as there are too many bikers in TNA as is. Maybe he is going for that "drug dealer you don't want to talk to very much" look. If so, which drug would styles be pushing? I would say Meth, but then again that might be a bit too close to the biker thing.

Speaking of Pillman, do you think Styles could pull off that "Ticking Time Bomb" type of heel? Pillman never really had to say too much that made "sense" and it didn't matter if you could understand his raspy voice. All he had to do was just perform random acts of violence and the announcers sold it like he was off his rocker. I don't think Tenay could pull it off but with Todd and Taz, it might just be possible.
