That's definitely right up there. I must admit, being male, most of the modern musicals such as Mamma Mia and Chicago are just too camp for me. Like Glee. I did enjoy Hairspray somewhat and Moulin Rouge had it's moments. I believe The Sapphires is very good although I'm yet to see it, it's sitting on my dvd player waiting. I just don't think they make them like Willy Wonka and The Wizard Of Oz and Oliver and even The Blues Brothers anymore. (yes I consider BB a musical.)

Rent is my favorite musical of all time. If were talking about musicals, I know it doesn't have the star-power but I love the story, and I even have most of the songs from broadway and film on my phone.

My best friend went and seen Rent..She said it was excellent

I am yet to familiarize myself with it
