I watched a little indie horror called Black Sheep, and it was a hoot! Brilliant story, well acted, traditional practical gore effects. I was well impressed. I don't know whether it was just because they're both made in New Zealand, and have similar style gore, but it reminded be so much of the classic Brain Dead. So I watched that again too!

I have seen that one too! A few times. New Zealand horror films have been very influenced with what Peter Jackson did all those years ago with Brain Dead so, you're right, stylistically, they're very similar. Very funny too

I watched Killer Joe the other night. It was different, yet interesting & that ending was amazing.

Thinking about watching Menace II Society soon. Anybody seen it?
