Lawless. It was ok, maybe somewhat of a letdown, for me. There was a certain feel of striving too much to be seen as some poignant piece of cinema. There were some flutters of good showings. Hardy had a great presence, Pearce slapped it up, and Oldman wasn't utilised enough, I feel. It needed more character enlightenment. Everyone said, "I got me one of them...", too much, lol.
Argo. It's a great story to be told, but, other than that I didn't think it was anything exceptional, you know for all the awards and stuff. Affleck does alright directing, but I didn't think it was anything better than what some other director could do, or that we haven't seen before. I enjoyed Arkin and Goodman. Good, and something I'd always be fine to watch, but not the be all and end all.
Was gonna crack down with some sweet chili Sensations, double choc cookies and milk, and watch Beasts Of The Southern Wild on Lovefilm tonight. But I don't think I'll be able to stay up, so if it doesn't happen tonight, it's getting smashed tomorrow.
