Did this just hit video or something? I've been dying to see it, but it never even hit my local art house theater.

I just caught Giamatti in Barney's Version last weekend, and that definitely didn't disappoint. Between him and Dustin Hoffman, I was basically in character actor heaven.

No i went to mates house and saw a copy*cough* it was very good.

I prefer him as a bad guy though he has the voice and facial expressions for it.

His best is Man on the Moon though i love that film

I really liked Man on the Moon, too, but I think American Splendor is, far and away, the best thing he's ever done. If I thought that the Oscars actually had any credibility, I'd still be sore over him not even being so much as nominated in the Best Actor category.

Ive not seen American Splendor (yet another Iron Ape recommendation that has gone to the top of my Lovefilm(Netflix) list).

His main problem is he does as much crap as he does good. Lady in the Water, Shoot em Up like WTF????

But he should of been nominated for Sideways at least. I cant see him winning best actor i dont know why but its just something i never see happening but best supporting actor he could get
