True Grit (remake) - Not a bad film at all 7/10

Wrong Turn 2 is a surprisingly fun little DTV gem- but 3 and 4, really? They're both, like, aggressively awful, even as far as direct to video trash goes.

Speaking of DTV- I actually sat through Underworld: Awakening last night (terrible series whose only real merit is being slightly better than execrable Resident Evil franchise), and it sort of shocked me that it got a theatrical run. I know those things are still inexplicably money-makers, but this production seemed very SyFy-ish. A good chunk of the computerized jizzbangs and graphical thing-a-ma-bobs looked like a wheelbarrow full of asses.
