Paris, Texas (1984), dir. Wim Wenders - A really good film transformed into a fucking AWESOME film by the last twenty minutes or so. Gorgeous cinematography. 9.5/10

Director Johnnie To's Vengeance (2009). Slick, entertaining as hell bullet ballet about a chef/retired assassin, with a fading memory, who befriends three younger assassins and employs their help to avenge the murder of his two grandchildren, son-in-law, and attempted murder of his daughter. The kinship, macho posturing, gratuitous slo-mo, and thousands of spent shells all harken back to John Woo's masterpieces The Killer (1989) and Hard Boiled (1992), so it's an easy recommendation for any fans of the genre.Last edited by Iron Ape; 01-18-2011 at 05:29 PM.

"Scott Pilgrim vs The World". Must admit that I enjoyed it - got flashbacks to my old console days.
Also rewatched "Into The Wild" a couple of days ago - a movie that still ranks high in my book.
