Doesn't bother me a bit. I just find it to be the more re-watchable movie.

Gladiator was as over the top as Troy, while saying just as little. It was more about the actors and directors egos. If you want to have a laugh, see if you can Google the Gladiator sequel that Crowe and Scott pitched. It's diabolically ridiculous.

The Dark Knight Rises *Will Contain Spoilers*

I'll merge this into the movies thread eventually but I thought we should have a thread by now where we can freely discuss The Dark Knight Rises.

So what were your impressions? Did it live up to the hype or your expectations?

I have been hearing a lot of negative reviews about Tom Hardy/Bane's voice. I quite liked the voice of Bane. It was a bit like Darth Connery, lol. I saw the movie in IMAX (3rd largest screen in the world) and the worst I can say about the voice is that it was slightly bass heavy which caused me to miss bits of dialogue.

The inclusion of Talia al Ghul was a nice touch. (It kept bugging me who Marion Cotillard reminded me of - I later realised it was Nicole Sullivan)
Did anyone else notice that they never referred to Selina Kyle as Catwoman?

Obviously Nolan is not concerned with previous Batman timelines and story arcs and was intent on using these characters to tell a story of his own and I think that was probably the best way to go. The ending was equal parts an end and a new beginning. Should someone pick up where this movie left off? I don't know. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from when Joel Schumacher took it over.

    Thoughts?

Jokes aside, that film sounds interesting. Lol

Reincarnated by defeating the Roman gods to defend the Christians etc... Forget Oscars, that film screams summer Blockbuster.
