I actually missed a lot of the Dragon-Steen feud/war and only saw a match or two, plus a few music vids. But in my mind, it was the stand out feud for Steen, as he kinda went from the guy who always wrestles Generico (in awesome matches) to a guy who could hang with the Indy elite.
Not trying to boast, but I've seen every TPI and only 2006 can compare to the WrestleWood that was 2004. I must have watched that show over 20 times. Almost every match is a winner, and it was wonderfully booked as well. Your in for a treat, especially if you like plenty of strong style in your wrestling (who doesn't)
Side note. IWA-MS back then was very similar to the way you described how PWG is now. They used to have a lot of dream matches back in the early/mid Noughties.

Man alive, that promotion has put on some classics in it's day.
I heard they have started up again but I haven't checked it out. Thinking about it I must rectify that!
Recently I've heard about the rebirth of Impact Championship wrestling, that New York promotion run by Jack Sabath. I used to be a big fan of their product and they used to feature guys like Xavier, Lowki, Homicide, The SAT and the HitSquad. I have just ordered 4 of their shows, which have some great cards. Plus, ICW play the Elks Lodge, and that place always has an awesome atmosphere.
