The Runcorn Wrestling Academy returns for its sixth year in operation, as it presents RWA: Night of Memories VI at the Grangeway Community Centre, Runcorn, on Saturday 5th February. With three matches* announced for what is shaping up to be the organisations most important show ever, Night of Memories promises not to disappoint.

    Matches already announced:

Main event: Champion vs. Champion - RWA Heavyweight Champion A.C. Kage vs. RWA Next Level Champion Greg Hammond – Title for title

The Main Event sees RWA Heavyweight Champion, “The Blueprint 4 Pain” A.C. Kage take on RWA Next Level Champion Greg “The Hatchet” Hammond with both championships on the line. Although the championships will not be unified at the conclusion of the contest (with the NXL Championship being vacated pending a decision from RWA Management), the row between the two champions over who is the real kingpin of the RWA is will finally be settled. The war of words between the two reached boiling point in November, following the conclusion of a six man tag team bout also featuring Kage’s “A List” faction (Adrian Myers & The Classic) and Hammond’s partners for the night, RWA Tag Team Champions Evans & Matthews, as Kage and Hammond came to blows following the bout. Although Kage secured the pin fall for his team at “Ultimate Challenge”, neither man has been able to secure momentum heading in to Night of Memories, and the result of the bout is too hard to predict.

Founder vs. Chief Executive - Andy Baker vs. Hannibal Ramseed

RWA Hidden Enemies in August of last year proved to be one of the most controversial nights in the 6 year history of the RWA. In a shocking turn of events, that no one could have predicted, RWA Chief Executive Hannibal Ramseed shocked the Runcorn faithful by costing hometown hero and RWA Founder Andy Baker the Heavyweight Championship against AC Kage. Acting as special referee for the contest, seemingly to prevent any interruption in proceedings from Kage’s A List, Hannibal left Grangeway, Baker and the RWA stunned as he drilled Baker with a knee lift and leg drop combination, allowing Kage to hit a Vader-inspired “Detonator” and win the heavyweight strap just as Baker seemed to have done enough to retain it. Now, after months of ducking and dodging from the CEO, Baker will have the chance to gain a measure of revenge, having beaten three men in a single night at Ultimate Challenge to earn a match against Hannibal at Night of Memories, in Ramseed’s first match back since a two and a half year absence from the squared circle. Both former Heavyweight Champions, Ramseed and Baker will both be looking to gain the win for pride on February 5th.

Irresistible Force vs. Immovable Object - The Baby-Faced Pitbull vs. "Partytime" Angel D’Souza
With Greg Hammond poised to become RWA Heavyweight Champion again at Night of Memories VI, he looks to do what only two other men have done in the organisations history; regain the championship. One of those men is RWA founder Andy Baker. The other? The Baby-Faced Pitbull! In 2009, Pitbull and Angel D’Souza had two very different years. The Pitbull rose through the ranks of the RWA, taking the Heavyweight Championship for the first time and staking a claim to being the most dominant champion the company has ever seen, whilst Angel D’Souza wound up banished from the RWA after losing a Career vs. Company match to Andy Baker. 2010, though, faired very differently. Since losing the RWA Championship the Baby-Faced Pitbull has been more dangerous than ever; a rebel whose only cause has been to bring pain and suffering to those who oppose him. One man who did oppose him was Angel. With wholly different views on how to get it done in the sport of professional wrestling, these two men will collide at Night of Memories VI , in what will no doubt be a charged battle between two of the most celebrated champions the company has ever had.

    Also slated to appear:

"Mr. Match of the Night" Zack Diamond
"The King of Bling"” D Mac (w/Big Tiny)

    "Runcorn's Own" Corey E
