First PPV since 2008 to not have Cena or Orton in a title main event!

WWE Elimination Chamber 2011 is the first WWE pay per view event since WWE Cyber Sunday 2008 (on October 26th, 2008) where neither John Cena nor Randy Orton are challenging for or defending a Championship. It should be pointed out that neither Cena nor Orton had a match on that pay per view.

The most recent pay per view event where both Cena and Orton wrestled but neither defended or challenged for a Championship was WWE Survivor Series 2006 (on November 26th, 2006). What should be noted here is that both men competed in Traditional Survivor Series matches at the time, and Cena was the WWE Champion at this event.

Yup it's not a stat WWE should be proud of. I can see why people complain about the two though...two years with two people in the title main events at PPVs is a bit over the top.

Throw Triple H into this and its the 1st time the WWE or World title has been without the "big 3" at a PPV since 2003.

However Orton and Cena are still main eventing this PPV.
