Well actually unless I'm mistaken, but the rockets actually flew past his head and blew up in the lava, causing the lava to explode everywhere. The blast could have blew Wesker out of the lava somehow and he then regenerates! Fuck, I should write this shit.

Won't happen though, there not as smart as me.

I'm calling it that at the end or by some cryptic message....he will be all badass like in RE5. I would ask D.C. Douglas, the 4th VOA of Wesker but I would not be surprised if he would give me some witty answer.
