They don't treat most of the originals (bar the main few) very well at all. It's very well documented. It's also very sad as people like Angelina (jersey shore bint) are earning a reported 7k for an appearance whilst most the knockouts struggle to see sums much more than that a year.

That's why Young and Joe (as far as I know) got in their contracts that they could do their own booking. It's the only way they could see a profit.
