This is another good La Sombra match against Averno.



The story behind this one: CMLL holds an annual 16-man tournament for a title called the Universal Championship, which you can only qualify for if you currently hold a championship which is recognised by CMLL. A champion of champions tournament, if you will.

La Sombra (the NWA Welterweight Champion) was the winner of Block A, and Averno (The NWA Middleweight Champion) was the winner of Block B... now they are facing off in the finals to determine the Universal Champion for 2011.

I've only seen about fifteen lucha matches from this year, but this is by far my favourite one so far. (I've yet to see the mask vs. mask match between Averno and La Mascara though... I heard that match was very emotional and just totally beast overall!)

Nope. The card looks pretty awful, to be honest... the only matches on there that interest me are Mesias/Styles and Park/Wagner Jr. Might watch 'em on youtube later.
