Randy Orton vs. Christian Feud: Who should go heel?

I don't see how WWE can't make a feud out of this, following the shocking lost a week ago. Hopefully with Orton and Christian hinting at a 'storyline' we could be seeing one of these guys turn heel within the following month or so. The question is - who should it be?

The logical choice is obviously Christian. Worked 17 years to get the championship and loses it to a guy that the FANS chose (although they didn't have much of a choice). He feels cheated, as he should, and says 'screw the fans' and goes about winning the title his own way. Doing whatever it takes. This is obviously fine.

Then we also have Randy Orton. With the backlash he is receiving over Twitter and even in real life, Orton feels pushed back against the corner and lashes out in a bad way. He tries to tell the world it is NOT his fault, but everyone does not listen and continues to give him crap. Finally, he snaps and just goes off on Christian, sick of all the heat he is getting doing his job. This is also fine.

Honestly, if you ask me, Orton should go heel and Christian should stay face. It stays true to the formula. In a feud, fans are supposed to get behind the Babyface to overcome over the Heel. As a wrestling fan, I want Christian to beat Orton fair-and-square after losing his championship in under a week. So I'm being inclinded to get behind him whether face or heel. Might as well keep him face in my book.

The dumbest thing WWE could do is have both stay Face and have a respectable feud between the two; that would make this feud VERY dry. It also would not make sense. Fuck the 'barney i love you PG' shit for once. I haven't felt this excited about a possible blood lust feud in a long of time. At the end of the day, I don't care who turns heel on who -- I just want to see a fucking feud happen and for Christian to win the championship back, or at least come out looking like a main eventer.

I agree with all the points you raised here, face v face is out.
Orton going heel is probably out as he is developing Cena syndrome... Too lucrative as a face.
The logical answer IMO is to turn Christian heel, this would do him good and help him establish himself as a main eventer.
I know there was a huge backlash about this story but i think its developing nicely and its actually making SD more interesting than Raw is at the moment.

I would prefer Christian to stay face and turn orton heel. I think orton is a much better heel than he is a face. I think that they would get more out of the feud too. But I guess they will probably keep orton face. I just hope Christian stays in the title picture after Over the limit if he loses.

IMO, Orton should go heel. There's already supercena, let alone superorton. Anyways, Orton is a lot less predictable as a heel.

No, but in THIS case, it does. Why the hell would anyone want a clean-buddy-buddy feud with someone who lost a championship they worked to get for 17 years? In real life, Christian would have lost his mind.

When Steve Austin and the Rock feuded at wm 17, they were both faces yet their rivalry was still intense and interesting. I guess one analogy I could use would be a Republican and Democrat feud, both have their own points but their differences lead to conflict (not good at making analogies but I hope you get my point).

I think WWE almost has to turn Christian; Orton is just too over with the "WWE Universe." The one thing I can guarantee is that the IWC's opinion has no bearing on who turns.
