The Influence of the internet community(or lack of)

In sports such as Football(soccer),rugby league, rugby union and cricket have all seen the influence of the internet fan base affect transfers, managerial and coaching appointments.Steve McClaren joining Aston Villa as manager in 2011,Dejan Stankovic joining Juventus in 2008,where both nixed due to a large unhappiness(putting it mildly) of those team's supporters on online internet forums, thats just two examples. Then we TNA and WWE,who despise, dislike, heckle and loath all of us.Somewhat ironic that the scripted 'sport' that could give us what we want and listen to its fan base doesn't.........

years ago,on the TNA forums, some people did mention the idea Abyss or Rhyno joining the X-Division to have a feud with Samoa Joe and AJ Styles, sadly the Abyss in the X-Division in 2011 is dud because it was too late and the right moment passed TNA bye, alas.

I dont know if this is a good example of the internet community actually influencing a decission but what about Daniel Brian? was that a rare case? or did the inernet community even have anything to do with it? Wasnt there a huge backlash when he was fired?

i think wwe has a lot more ways to know what people wants, for example: how good the merchandise of a wrestler sells, surveys about programming, crowd reaction, sells in house shows, etc, so if what people on the iwc complain about is different from what they get for other researches, they just dont care because iwc is a very small fan base compared to others

nop, wwe fired him over sponsors heat and pressure, so as fast as the heat was gone , he was rehired

I highly doubt that is was because of people on the internet.

''Ricardo Rodriguez is the best character on WWE TV.''

I don't how much the WWE cares about the IWC, not sure if they check these forums and mostly they try to please the casual fans and the kids, TNA is different concept

I think IWC has a small influence, but mostly ignored.

We wanted more of Cena. They gave us more of Cena. We hated him. We wanted more of Orton. They gave us more of Orton. We hated him. We wanted more of the Miz. They gave us more of the Miz. We hated him.

I bet if they made Daniel Bryan a main eventer the IWC will turn their backs on him.
