Next Era of WWE?

I've been reading some of the PG blogs on this forum, and does anybody think that we are entering the next era? Do you think CM Punk is this era's Stone Cold, and John Cena (of course with a few improvements) could be this era's Hogan (for hero like purposes)/Rock (for attitude)?

Too early to tell, but it's a serious possibility and that in itself is exciting!

i know your proble jsut trying to compare for sake of what additude era is but i hope if a new era is coming in it isint cm punk is like SCSA its cm punk is better...meaning i want this era if there is one to be the best yet...us as die hard wrestling fans deserve soemthing MASSIVE in wwe

Hogan meh dunno but there will always only be 1 SCSA. Their will be comparisons but nobody could fill those shoes imo.

wwe doesnt necessarily have to be tv 14 to be good we jut witnessed mitb that was the best ppv in years including wrestlemania's that was done in pg. i would compare cm punk to scsa in the sense that they both had that defining moment that convinced everyone that they could be the man. but punk is not the next scsa he is cm punk. i wouldnt compare rock and cena cause cena just looks like a very very crappy version of rock then. compared with hogan its far more complimentary to him. wanting wrestlers to be the next austin and rock i believe is what lead us into a decline of wrestling you cant repeat that you have to find a new star. they though they had with brock but he left them in the lurch. instead of looking for the next of version of a former star they shouldve let the stars of today develop their own distinct character, thats what they did with austin and rock they wernt emulating anyone but running on their own steam. when the wwe let punk do it we got this character now, same with r truth better entertainers than the ones the brass were giving us. too many times over the last few years we have seen guys who are the new version of a former star ie khali=giant gonzales. hornswoggle=doink the clown, etc.

but as was said already we are now entering a new era an exciting one by the looks of things and who knows what will happen
