I was more pointing out the fact that how you can call Arteta average while Gerrard is world class is beyond crazy.

I don't see Arteta as anything special either, I liked him more and for me he was better player a couple of season's ago with Everton.

He couldn't even lace the boots of Stevie G.

Arteta has never even put in an oustanding performance, it's a trait world class players have. Like Gerrard.

The pressure on a team to retain a league title is always immense, even for teams like United and City

I'd say Gerrard is miles better then Arteta but he's 1 of those players that does a lot and get little praise. Doesn't Wilshere have more assists or goals then Rooney currently btw?

Gerrard is still an beast player, just proved it against us but he's on a timer these days.

One thing though Steve, you get so defensive over Liverpool players man.

I understand that it's a bit kettle calling the pot black, but if people can't see the talent Gerrard still has.. Yes not like he once had, but still quality then fine, let them think that.

Like Henderson and Downing have done alright recently, and you were praising them the other day like you were trying to prove appoint to everyone a little bit. those players are like you might see Nani for United.

I love Nani, but I can't convince people he's great like you can't with Henderson and so on.. Just relax a little man, not so defensive.
