Carrick played pre-season at centre back man, no one else unless you are calling in someone who last the experience too deal with Jelavic and Fellaini.

Velencia at right back was strange when Rafa is fit.. seemed strange too me also.

I don't understand why Fergie sees Valencia as our "emergency right back". He can't defend to save his life, and he's such an outlet going forward it's complete waste to play him at full back. And with Rafael fit, it's even more bemusing why he was played there. Rafa suffering some from he Olympics maybe?

Rooney did absolutely nothing tonight man. Barely noticeable on that pitch.

It's not make or break man.. he's quality on his day and there's not many better then him when he's on it.. As for Anderson very much make or break for him as he has simply done nothing.

Nani isn't a consistent performer. He's just not. For every amazing game he has he has about 3 shockers. For a guy who claims that he can be the best player in the world, it's not good enough.
Nani's a fantastic player, but he has to perform more consistently to stay at United IMO. He was heavily linked with a move away early summer, so this is a big season for him IMO.

Anderson's been a bit unlucky with injury, but he has to have a big one this year or he's gone IMO.
