I don't like Fellaini either, hence why I said I wouldn't cry too much if we don't sign him. I think he's an average player who isn't good enough for United.
We don't need any solving in the creative/playmaker position. We have plenty of players at the club that are tailor made to play that role. It's just a matter of giving those players a chance.
I also don't think we've lacked a creative playmaker in recent years. Scholes has played that role, Giggs, Rooney, Kagwa, Ronaldo. This year we're lacking a player in that position because of Scholes' retirement and Giggs' inability to play many games.
What we've lacked more than that is a destructive DM in the mould of Roy Keane. We've not had that in YEARS. Owen Hargreaves is the only one who's filled that role and he only did it for one season unfortunately. For all the yellow cards and fouls he gives away, Fellaini would solve that problem. He'd just need to work on his temperament and discipline.
