I think music is doing really well as well... though not all major label bands are terrible. Foo Fighters play great music and don't use the equipment he was talking about. Other bands that are popular among the youtube/ITunes crowd like Mumford And Sons play great music with out all that fancy equipment as well. but he is right for the most part... there is a ton of crap out now.

I agree with this. You can most definitely find Major Label Bands and they aren't even close to terrible. Foo Fighters are excellent. However, Rollins was right. A lot of music just doesn't have the same passion as it used to. The state of music isn't in bad shape, it is just in the middle of a change right now, and in the end, it will be better for it.
