It's more spontaneous. Which should be the case. The peel thread is meant to be about actually discussing what happens on the show. The chatbox is where people can instantly react to things.

On a lighter note, I marked my ECW loving ass off for Tommy Dreamer last night.

Just joining in with the rest I'm sure. It's hard to put your thoughts out effectively when you are trying to keep up with everybody else. People in there need to slow down and compose themselves a bit more and actually post more than the first thing that comes to their head.

The original idea was to get some quality, in-depth discussions on the show going, but at some point it turned into people just live-blogging what they were seeing on the screen.

Yeah, in addition to the 3DS and handheld games, I ended up donating an SNES, Mario World, A Link to the Past, and Super Metroid. Surprisingly, a bunch of the kids were already fans of Mario World, so quite a few of them ganged up together to play it.

The whole thing turned into a really awesome experience, and it's something that I think I'm going to be doing every year now.

That's good to hear. I might just do the same if the N64 fails to entertain me anymore. It'll be said to part with my Banjo Kazooie, ;_;, but if you found gratification in making others happy, I don't see why I can't do the same.
