There seems to be a rumor going on that The Rock won't win the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. But at the Elimination Chamber PPV instead.

I guess that if this were the case, I could be more pleased to see it. Because Rocky has more dates showing up for a televised WWE show building towards 'Mania then untill EC.

Inb4 Punk vs Rock is the main event when it should be the Royal Rumble itself.

That's fair. I still hear a bunch of references to it though, in fact I can recall me and my friends making a joke about it with in the last couple weeks.

I share the same opinion. The Rumble match is and should remain the main event.

I wouldn't mind Rock v. Punk as the main event. People wanted the WWE Championship to main event for so long, right? Now it does and it doesn't involve Cena. Also, the Royal Rumble hasn't always main evented the PPV.

If the rumble is the main event there will be people complaining that John cena was even able to steal the main event from the rock vs punk... you can't win jelly haha

It would be foolish to end the show with anything but the Rumble I reckon. It would totally take the shine off whoever is going to "main event Wrestlemania". Maybe we can have Rock lose to Punk earlier in the show then enter the Rumble and win the shot.
