I know it shouldn't really bother me and that I should be adult enough to just ignore it but it's like driving by a car crash, you just can't help yourself from rubber necking.
Try telling them this though and you're just flipped off as a disparager of the product and they refuse point blank to listen to what you may have to say and believe that you can't be a 'genuine' fan and instead are some WWE fan boy who is merely stating that you are a TNA fan in order to go on the offensive about it. This is really disturbing and yes I've had this stated to me more than once.
Plus I eagerly await DRG's rebuttal.

Glad I could keep you waiting...
Unfortunately, this has become a generalization with things beyond just wrestling. Die-hard loyalty to a television show (HIMYM), video games (Halo vs. Mass Effect), and even down to the cars people drive; in Texas, you’re either a Ford man or a Chevy man... Anything else and you’re called a girl. I can sympathize because I am a minority when it comes to “TNA Fans” because I can willingly accept that they have issues. The problem I have is that, as you said, both TNA and WWE have these fans and it seems as if it is a bigger decision to make than choosing your political alignment before voting. Either you are Extremely Left Wing with the WWE, or Extremely Right Wing with TNA; to be neutral (or worse, to give the alternate brand “credit” for something) will have you label a traitor to the brand, which is utterly moronic. I hate that because I willing state that I would rather watch TNA over WWE, a specific group of WWE fans automatically assume that I don't "understand" the WWE or that I am even ignorant to the wrestling industry as a whole because of what I like.

I still think this should be a ban-able offense.

I fully agree with this part Rob, but I would place the label towards TNA just as much as ROH. People like to label TNA as the knock off WCW. I will give them the credit of having a wrestling focused program, but the fashionably ‘elite’ group of TNA fans are closer to those who were involved with both raising talents in ECW to new heights as well as betraying them the moment they chose to move to a different promotion. Sadly, this carries back and forth between fanboys of both products. A WWE fan will make the statements that “TNA is filled with a bunch of WWE rejects who couldn’t hack it in the big leagues” yet will write a blog about why Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Sting, Matt Morgan, Bully Ray (take your pick really) should jump over to the WWE. TNA fans will label someone like Kharma or Xavier Woods (Consequences Creed) as an automatic fail for WWE because they didn’t “use them” the way TNA did. It is annoying and is why I made the comparison to the political realm as these fans come across as those who blindly follow the likes of Bill O’Riely, Anderson Cooper, Glen Beck, Wolf Blitzer, etc. If you were to say something counter to their opinion or even critical of them then you are thought to be a “sympathizer” and should be put in the stockades for war crimes.
