Well, people sort of need to have a diverse set of skills if they have any real hopes of living comfortably in this day and age, so I thought it seemed like a good idea. But, yeah, it's kind of a dork thing to do, I guess.

hell I work as a tech now, but for a while there the only job I could get hired for was hanging drywall, luckily I took carpentry in Job Corps so I had something else to fall back on.

even now, when I finally go to that great 4 year ripoff to get the needed degrees to work for the forest service I am still getting IT certifications so I always have a plan B
