It was probably around 97 when I realized it was fake. I was 8 and my dad had to break it to me and my brother because we kept wrestling and he thought we were going to kill each other.

I have television woes - occasionally the picture will drop out completely while the sound keeps works fine. Placing it on standby then back on again is a temporary fix, then it happens again after about 10 minutes or so.

Anybody have any experiences similar to this? I'm hoping it's the sort of thing that might sort itself out by unplugging the set for a few days, and not some internal problem like a fucked capacitor that I'd be too lazy to fix.

Sounds like it's rooted mate. I've had sets do this and It's never good.

Why would you even try to qualify that? I'm sure you could also say, "well Hitler did worse" but it doesn't make it right
