Yeah, I think his being an amazingly gifted athlete is what makes the whole situation seem even worse. In addition to blowing a wonderful opportunity to present himself as someone that fans can look up to (and he was in desperate need of some good PR after that whole drunk driving incident), he looks like a bitch by passing on a fight that he would have likely dominated. I mean, Chael is no pushover, but he was coming into a new division with no real time to train. For Jones to pass on that is almost lunacy.
Yep, not too mention that he was in his conditional peak. It certainly doesn't help that the one guy he decides not to fight, is Chael Sonnen.
