I, personally, hold it up as GOATy, and I'm like the only person I know that goes on about it, heck, even watched it. I think I only know of two others here, online, that have watched it. Maybe that adds a bit to why I like it so much. I've tried to get my friends to watch it, tried to explain to them to give it a chance, why it is that I find it so good, and sometimes I struggle. It's a tricky one to convey (for me, anyway). I know one of them watched the first couple of ep's and didn't get it, got bored, and gave it up that early. So, yeah, it is a bit of a slow builder, but if I was to say it gets better as it goes, it's like I feel like I'm putting down the first season, when I don't mean to, mwah mwah.
Even though there are distinguished seasons, each with a change in it's focus on various realms of society and civil systems, it's all cumulative, so to speak. The good guy's don't always catch the bad guy at the end of a season. OK, yeah, some seasons have stronger points than others, but, where they are weaker in one area, it's made up for in the other seasons. Let's just say, the whole of season one would be one rushed episode in something like CSI.
What I really like about it is the people, characters, and peformances, the interaction and camaraderie between them in the different groups; and for such a huge number of folks who get screen time it's amazing how many of them perform so well, to put it across. And <3 the 'realism'. Lol. Stick with it blud, I want you to like it, I feel you would.
