I get that it's south parks entire focus and I don't hold that against south park. no one should ever be threatened like that over a joke.

I want to make a point about this, but I can't formulate properly right now. The gist is every religion, plus atheist (which are not a religion) should accept criticism, and even use it to try to improve their flaws. However, I don't think this is possible because humans (regardless of religious beliefs) tend to anger when their beliefs (and not necessarily religious beliefs) are attacked.
