My daughter likes One Direction, which doesn't bode well for the future. But I have to make myself get used to it. All I can do is gently introduce some of my favorites to her and hope she hears what I hear eventually. But in the meantime, I'll suffer through the fact that I'm blessed to have her in my life and that compared to that, the music thing isn't the end of the world. Because there are much, much worse things

I'm not the one who turned it into a serious conversation. I don't know where that started. It just happened to continue. Not the current pop doesn't suck mind you, but I really wasn't trying to be serious at all until the serious tone was being had.
