Yeah, Diamond Eyes was like an amazing blend of Around The Fur and White Pony (my two favorite Deftones records), and it showed that not only could they survive without Chi on bass, they could even thrive. I mean, it was a real revelation. Love it and still listen to it. But this? Koi No Yokan? It's like their entire 17 year career has been building to this record. It's just...wow. For a guy as fond of words as I am, I simply don't have many to really articulate just how damn much I love it.
Had anyone else told me you were out of words and I would have blatantly refused to belive that user. I do believe as I'm reading it for yourself. Pretty uncommon moment in EWN.
Not much of a fan of Deftones, but that vid you posted has a couple of interesting moments, especially when they sound as a softer, not-so-crazy version of Today is the Day, but still not much my thing, although I perceive why you fans love it. But don't take it as somethign negative, I don't listen to new music much these days, even my kind of bands. Can't tell you why.
