In all seriousness, I have a seriously hard time thinking of marriage as anything other than an antiquated concept. Sure, there are happily married people out there, but they seem to be more of the exception than the rule these days. It also wouldn't be particularly beneficial to either of the people in my particular situation as we're both financially independent, so the allure of some kind of added legal security just isn't really there for us. We both seem genuinely content with where we're at now, and though we both wear rings and are largely considered semi-engaged by the bulk of our friends and family, neither of us are really interested in some ridiculous, socially-imposed spectacle to somehow profess our love to one another. There are far more meaningful ways of expressing that particular sentiment, methinks.

Now, with that out of the way, let's get back to talking about falcon-punching people in their ovaries.

It should become as socially acceptable as kicking a guy in the nuts.

We had the feminism movement. It's time for the masculinism movement.

Well, the ceremony is a celebration of everything that is wrong with food, fashion, and music. The rest of it, though? All a ploy so that women no longer have to worry about making themselves presentable, likely designed by the people running the sweatpants industry.
