'Latest figures from The Wrestling Observer suggest that WrestleMania 27 (2011) is second biggest pay-per-view in the history of the WWE. The PPV did 1,120,000 buys and 663,000 domestic beating the total buys for WrestleMania 21 (2005) which stood at 1,090,000 but not domestic - 720,000. The 2005 event was headlined by Triple H vs. Batista.
WrestleMania 23 still holds the record as the number one PPV with 1,250,000 buys. The event featured Donald Trump and was headlined by John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels.'
