If it weren't for the inherent sadness of it all, I'd say they accidentally deliver more laughs than entire networks specializing in comedy. But then I remember that they're all real people, so I invariably go back to crying on the inside.
Trust me, I understand the grief with the Fox News Network in general being as the only "voice of reason" they have is the one they seem to conveniently make up themselves, but it's not like there is any major news network that doesn't seem to do the same thing. MSNBC is filled to the brim with left wing members that seem to forget anything and everything commonly perceived as "wrong" (by liberal and conservative alike) that the political members they openly endorse have done in the past or tried pushing through congress. CNN has the same sort of "selective memory" when it comes to dealing out the facts that are considered a "negative" for anyone they have backed for the Democratic Party.
The last thing I am going to do is to sit here and act like Fox News doesn't come off as skit written by George Carlin (minus the cursing) at times, but neither does any other "major" news network. Each is filled with their own subtle twist on the facts as to not offend their stockholder or the people funding the most amounts of disposable revenue into the network and its hierarchy. The best way I have heard it said is that "all major news outlets are nothing more than two miracle elixir salesman battling from across the street. One will claim that the others product is filled with poison while his counterpart screams that he is selling high priced sewage water; the truth is that both salesmen are offering you something that will do nothing for you except to make you look stupid for buying their product."
To me, one is just as bad as the other in that their only goal is to make you believe that they are always right and their competition is always wrong. I know that you guys on this site tend to understand this a bit better than the others in the world, but their goal remains set. You are too smart to be their target demographic, so why speak in ways that their prey is intended when accusing simply one network as being the “big bad wolf” in the world of news? Am I out of context for saying since my judgment is based solely on the fact that I have seen nothing but dribble against Fox with no implications of wrong doing from any new source outside the one in question?
