Haha, yep. They only begrudgingly got behind boxers of colour and then that well ran dry too. Also, any weight class above super middleweight is a snorefest.

Wish I could have faced him, I'd knock him the funk out. Would be fun being World Champ.

The Klitschkos have been dominating the heavyweight scene for so long, nobody expects any other boxer to win. even I think thats boring, and they run for a german stable. the only halfway interesting fight would be Klitschko vs Klitschko, and that will never happen. now, i dont care about anything else but heavyweight. not enough knockouts.
    Wrestling lost the spectacle factor.

It is these days, it's so sad how far the heavyweight division had fallen.

To be a fan of boxing these days you have to follow other weight divisions really, the heavyweight scene is that bad.

Post #47 - Bodom before having to deal with the petty bullshit drama that the ignorant people who seem to call themselves "fans" always start and/or get into when they join the EWN...

Seriously though, back tracking through some of these older forums are pretty fun because a lot of users have changed in many ways over the past several years and some have remained just a peachy as they've always been. I don't recommend posting in them because SCBB necros enough threads, but there's a lot of quality stuff if you can sift through the MASSIVELY ENORMOUS amounts of garbage that are also in these threads.

I can agree with you that I see it dwindling out - Never really "gone" as much as just forgotten.

Yet another thing the Americans can be blamed for! Honestly, I agree that it began to die when the WHC went to shit, but I don't think America is the cause; it's MMA. With the idea that there were options outside of joining the boxing circuit, the people who "could" have been going to boxing classes due to their abilities to throw punches, ended up taking MMA and learned the ground base to match their hand speed. That's just my theory though.
