I said you were right, I just said our arguments don't clash. I'm not trolling I am just saying a fact... Kids today might be more annoying than you found them before that doesn't make them dumber... in fact at least in my state we have much higher test scores than before.... My father took trig as a senior in high school, it's often a freshman class at the high school that we both attended now.

I don't think you can really use the test score argument as a basis for improved general intelligence. Exams results in this country have been increasing year on year for about 15 years now, yet the number of school leavers that seem unable to demonstrate basic reading and writing has decreased. How does that work?

I have been working in my industry now for 14 years, 10 of which I've had my own company. I employ thousands of workers for both my company and on a temporary basis for my clients and the general consensus is that school leavers (of which I employ thousands, especially during the holidays and at the end of the school year) is that the reading and writing levels have drastically declined over these last 10 years and this is feedback from companies I've dealt with every year of the 10 that I've had my own company.

As someone who has worked with teenagers since graduating from college, nine years ago, I would say that overall human teenagers are about the same, but the world around them has changed. Vastly deep I know, but let me explain myself.
I think that kids have always been the same, sexual deviants; prone to rebellion against authority, but in yester year they were honed to learn how to suppress those urges and become a productive member of society, although some never learned how. Kids were older then, and kids remain younger for much longer now.
I think the accessibility to bring out there urges in today’s society is far too easy. With anonymity of the internet and free access to be whoever they want to be has blurred the line between what is acceptable and what is desired. I mean, I don’t think a teenager from the sixties would have threatened to rape my grandmother, but they didn’t have Xbox live back then, so who knows.
