I have no idea what Google play is but mine has normal browser Google which is fine for me. Lol

Coming from the world of Blackberry for my cell phone, having the Android system is such a breath. It's one of the reasons why I am seriously looking into getting a Galaxy for my next phone.


Haven't had any problems with play (even though I have heard of some having issues.) It seems to be functioning in a much better (and easier) way that anything I found with the iTunes store. Apps are quicker to find, downloads don't slow down the tablet or phone (my wife has a Samsung Replenish and loves it) as much as I have seen them do with the iPad / Phones... But I have limited exposure to the iPad so I can't say how well it performs outside of what I have seen.

Which Galaxy?

Samsung has quite a few with Galaxy name lol.

The 3 is what I'm looking into. Price drops a little lower (and my son finishes potty training so I don't have to spend $$ on pullups) and I will acquire it. The phone is sick; have a few friends with it and they've let me tinker around to see how I like it.

Edit - I have played with the 2 and it is a pretty awesome device, but if I am going to get a new phone, the 3 is what I want so I'll save up and buy it out right.

Think of iTunes version 10.8... Now remember iTunes 3.1. Yeah, you're current iTunes is the 3.1 to Google Play's 10.8.



BTW - It's not a browser or search engine - It's a store. On your Google browser page, select the "PLAY" tab at the top of the screen and look into it. There's some good info there if you have the time to read up on the products you're using.

I have heard many speak the world of Crome. Anything is better than IE (Microsoft is who our company uses, so that's whose products I am stuck using, regardless of my opinions otherwise.)
