Yea, I haven't heard much from Miranda since her second album but I have actually listened to the entirety of both of those albums. I have always respected that her music seems to have some actual content and meaning behind it. I'm not saying she's the greatest artist ever but I surely can appreciate and respect her fan base.
The fact that George Straight was as popular as he was for as long as he was is just incredible. Forget his absurd amount of number ones, just being that reliable to produce quality music of any genre for that much of an extended period of time is just boarder-line mind blowing.
I'm on the fence with Radioactive still. I know it plays a lot but i just don't know what I feel about it. Probably a bad sign, I think like most of their other songs... they sound unique... but there is something missing from the song to make it a great song. It's Time to me is their best song thus far.
Just on a related note I grew up listening to country music but I still listen to and enjoy rock music a bit more. Even though some of it sounds a bit generic my faith in rock music has been increasing with some of the lesser known artists. I really focus most of my time with music listening to what would be considered alternative rock, which has been getting a bump in popularity as of late... but it seems to still be miles behind someone like Nicki Minaj in popularity. I don't know if you have been listening to much of it lately... But I have been recommending Bon Iver's album Bon Iver to anyone who will listen... Leads off with the albums best song and doesn't stop being amazing afterwards.
