- The New York Daily News is reporting that The House Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection will hold a hearing in late September on steroids and professional wrestling. WWE spokesman Kevin Hennessy said his organization was unaware of the hearing but would comply if asked to attend. TNA officials declined comment and NWA reps could not be reached. The subcommittee's ranking Republican, Rep. Cliff Stearns of Florida, called for Congress to investigate steroids in wrestling two weeks after the death of Chris Benoit.

- WWE.com is running a new poll asking fans what should John Cena do next to get back at Randy Orton. Poll options are Forfeit the gold, Attack Orton's father and Settle it in the ring. The article mentions Randy Orton's father, WWE Hall of Famer Cowboy Bob Orton and teases at a possible attack from Cena. That would be interesting to see both Cena and Orton's fathers brought in for storyline.
