- At this point, even within WWE, the list of suspended Superstars is being kept quiet. Vince McMahon is dead serious about enforcing the WWE Wellness Policy to the fullest, including the three strike rule.
Every media outlet imaginable has picked up on the story today. WWE lawyer Jerry McDevitt confirmed today that the WWE Superstars were suspended for ordering drugs, mainly human growth hormones, which violated WWE's policies. As of today, no criminal charges have been filed. Fox News even has a crew setup outside WWE headquarters in Stamford, and I imagine other media outlets do as well. Reports say as of this afternoon, several of the major media networks had stories planned on the WWE scandal including ABC News who canceled theirs.
The Albany District Attorney David Soares issued a statement today saying his office appreciates the WWE cooperating with their ongoing investigation into Signature Pharmacy and their distribution network. Soares said his office enlisted the help of WWE after a number of their wrestlers appeared on customer lists of clinics connected to Signature.
Several media outlets are reporting that more WWE suspensions are expected to come and while no names have been confirmed to be released, at one point today Fox News said the names of Randy Orton, Edge and Mr. Kennedy had been leaked as being suspended. Keep in mind, at this point no names have been confirmed to be suspended.
Remember that in the middle of all this turmoil, the SmackDown and ECW spoilers will come out on Saturday night and the RAW spoilers should come out sometime Sunday night. Stay tuned for all the latest updates throughout the weekend on the WWE suspensions and tapings, as it looks to be a busy weekend for WWE and its fans.
