-- A new poll released by Quinnipiac today puts Linda McMahon behind Democrat Christopher Murphy in the Senate race by a margin of 49% to 43%. The poll is a five-point change from the last Quinnipiac poll, which was released on October 4 and showed Murphy up by just 1%. The candidates have been in two debates since that last poll and McMahon does not seem to have performed well, slipping 6% among women and 1% among men. She fell 6% among voters fifty-five and older also.
Quinnipiac noted that the race was "fluid" pointing out that 11% of Murphy voters and 14% of McMahon supporters say they may change their mind by election day. Currently, Murphy has a 39% favorability rating and 39% unfavorable while McMahon is at 41% favorable vs. 47% unfavorable.
