WWE released their fourth quarter financials today. Here is the latest update on the company’s PPV business:

* Pay-Per-View revenues were $14.6 million as compared to $13.8 million in the prior year quarter, reflecting a 2% increase in total pay-per-view buys. Buys for the four comparable events in the current and prior year quarter declined 3%, but were more than offset by an increase in prior period buys, which resulted in a 6% increase in pay-per-view revenue.

* October: Hell in a Cell: 210,000 buys in 2010, 182,000 buys in 2011 (-28,000)

* October: Vengeance/Bragging Rights: 137,000 buys in 2010, 121,000 buys in 2011 (-16,000)

* November: Survivor Series: 244,000 in 2010, 281,000 in 2011 (+37,000)

That is a drop of 23,000 PPV buys in the quarter. The above-mentioned offset was 33,000 PPV buys of PPV from the previous quarter.
