As noted earlier, the Miami Herald has part two of their interview with Edge up. Here are some more highlights:

On being approached about the Hall of Fame at only 37: It was one of those things that when it was announced officially two of the first texts I got were from Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels saying I totally deserved it. So if they were saying this, then I was cool with it. Anybody else can say what they want because they can’t lace up their boots, so that kind of pushed those doubts aside pretty quick. When I got the call I had just finished kayaking and driving home with the kayak — soaked and muddy in the back. I got a call at a stop light telling me they wanted me in the WWE Hall of Fame. I was thinking, ‘Really. This year?’ I told them OK, and that was it.”

On not getting to work with Bret Hart: “The one guy I never got to wrestle was Bret Hart. He was the one guy I would have enjoyed getting in there and seeing what we could have created together. It would be me as the sleazy bad guy and him as the hard wrestling, charging good guy. I think we could have done some pretty awesome stuff together. I got lucky in that I got to team with Hogan, wrestled [Ric] Flair, wrestled Shawn Michaels and wrestled Undertaker. If they were a star in the last 20 years, I pretty much wrestled them, except for Bret.”

On who he would have liked to work with: “I thought there were some young guys I could have worked with. I could work with a Dolph Ziggler and an Alberto Del Rio in this final year. I was able to start that process but not finish it. In hindsight, it’s a good way to go out.”

On attending WrestleMania 28 as a fan: “To me, it’s like why involve me in the show if I can’t physically do anything,” Edge said. “If they aren’t going to allow me to physically do anything, there is no sense in taking a spot away from some other guy. There is no payoff to it. If I was going to do something with Christian, it’s not going to lead into a match, so why bother? That is my mentality.”

On who will win – Rock or Cena: “That’s a tough one. I don’t know. I really don’t. I do know that I will be watching as a fan because the place is just going to be nuts. It will be interesting to watch completely from a fan’s perspective and not having any real involvement in the show. That might be one of those instances where, ‘I wish I was in there.’ Having a feeling how that crowd is going to be, and it’s going to be insane. That will probably be a moment where there will be those itches to get in and do it. I’m really looking forward to it because they do not like each other. You can just tell. Awkward TV is just great.”
