McMahon, top opponent Chris Shays and three other opponents will appear for the 90-minute debate. The moderator from the Norwich Bulletin noted that they are aiming for a more conversational discussion, rather than having candidates standing behind a podium.
The debate is the first of a handful scheduled before the May 18 Republican Party convention to choose which candidate advances to the General Election in November.
