According to sources, Chris Jericho is backstage at RAW right now and will be used tonight. Jericho has been working part-time with WWE in recent months, working some live events when he’s available. He’s been on social media as well, doing his usual “messing with the fans” bit where he says he won’t be a part of WrestleMania. He did recently hype an “announcement” of some sorts.
As of now, Jericho is not scheduled for tomorrow night’s SmackDown tapings. These tapings are for SmackDown’s debut on the USA Network. He is booked for several upcoming WWE live events though.
Jericho last appeared for WWE at the Night of Champions pay-per-view where he was Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns’ mystery partner against the Wyatt Family. During the match, WWE teased tension between Ambrose and Jericho as Jericho walked out following a loss. Ambrose went on to call Jericho a “glory hound.” There is no word on if they will be going back to that built-in feud or if there are other plans in place.
