According to reports, the reason Sasha Banks is facing Charlotte at the WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view is because that was always the original plan following their WWE SummerSlam match. When Banks suffered an injury, Bayley was called up to the main roster to replace her as WWE officials feared that Banks would be out of action for an extended period of time. With Banks being cleared earlier than expected, WWE opted to go back to the original plan of Banks vs. Charlotte.
As of this writing, there is no word on if Bayley will be added to the match to make it a Triple Threat Match or if they will hold off on Bayley’s title shot.
