Just to recap three big pieces of news that broke earlier this week ….
— According to Squaredcirclesirens.com, the Mae Young Classic will feature a mix of currently signed NXT talents along with independent names.
WWE NXT talents such as Bianca Blair, Lacey Evans, Taynara Melo, Sarah Logan, Kimber Lee, Julia Ho, Victoria Gonzalez, Mary-Kate, Danielle Kamela, and Zhao Xia have all been rumored for the tournament. They would join recently signed talents such as Nixon Newell, Evie, Demi Bennett, Kairi Hojo, and Thea Trinidad in the tournament.
Independent performers Marti Belle and Mia Yim are also rumored to participate.
— According to sources, WWE officials are planning a Kurt Angle vs. Triple H match. There is no timeline on when it will happen, but the feeling is that it will be linked with the storyline WWE has been doing with Angle and Corey Graves.
Also, RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon is expected back soon, which could also be part of the build to the match.
— Bray Wyatt’s wife recently filed for divorce and claims that the RAW star had an affair with ring announcer JoJo Offerman. >The Daily Mail broke the news, claiming Samantha Rotunda filed for divorce back in April, alleging that Wyatt has been engaging in an adulterous relationship. While the other party to the affair isn’t named in the documents, Samantha’s lawyer told the gossip site that Offerman is the woman in question. Samantha has accused Wyatt of “adultery and misdeeds” and is asking for their marital home as well as child support and alimony.
Wyatt has filed a counter-petition in which he claims Samantha is making defamatory statements about him “in an effort to ruin his reputation” and has been posting false information on social media “in an effort to damage the husband’s business ventures in the entertainment industry.” He is asking for an injunction requiring Samantha to stop spreading information about him.
Samantha’s response read, “It is a shame that the Husband would make such false claims and attempt such media gaming. Ms. Rotunda will not only prove Husband’s allegation and claims are nothing more than a media ploy and endeavor to create an offense to defend his adultery and misdeeds…Husband’s deceitful allegations and defamatory statements are decidedly an attempt to pull the wool over the public’s eyes when his antics and affairs become more public.”
According to sources, Samantha wanted to keep the split as positive as possible at first but when Wyatt filed his response accusing her of lying, she decided to defend herself. The two were married in 2012 and have two daughters, ages six and four.
